Top Prospects Sample Itinerary

The summer camp format is different from the winter format. The players will break into small groups and work with 2-3 college coaches. They will have specific work in each group, and will rotate to each drill.

Day 1
  • Coaches talk to parents & participants about what to expect and what they will be looking for
  • Warm-up & Stretch
  • Strength & Conditioning, Speed work & Timed 60yd dash
  • Group drills with coaches
  • BP work for position players. Players take cuts while coaches assess swing
  • LUNCH (approximately one hour)
  • 15 min break.
  • Simulated game - athletes will be divided into teams. Each day all pitchers will throw and all players will hit & play defense. The coaches will give feedback to the positions
    1. Base running: Lead-offs, Secondary leads & Instincts
    2. Infield: Footwork, Range, Mental Aspect of Game & Positioning at every Pitch
    3. Outfield: Jump & Path to Ball
    4. Catchers: Soft Hands, Frame, Glove Work & Footwork
    5. Hitting: Form, Approach, Bat speed & Hand Path
Day 2
  • Warm-up, Stretch, Strength & Conditioning & Throwing
  • Drills:
    1. Infield: Drills & Footwork
    2. Outfield: Fly balls, Drop & Step
    3. Catcher: Blocks, Footwork, Glove positioning & Frame
    4. Hitting: Bat speed & Hand Path
    5. Pitchers: Bullpen work
  • LUNCH (approximately one hour)
  • Simulated game
  • Words from the Coaches (this will happen sometime during the day, as time permits)
